Special cargo can consist of project cargo, out of gauge cargo or high value cargo that requires special attention such as pre-shipment condition surveys, as well as loading/discharging supervision whilst in the care, control and custody of our Principal.
Frozen food in general can be subject to pre-shipment exceptions or damages associated with temperature deviation or abuse whilst within the confines of the container, improper stowage, poor monitoring practices, etc. In this case, our client had an issue with shipments of shrimp that would crystalize and clump up due to issues with controlling temperatur en-route. Our solution saved the shrimp, and cost next to nothing to implement.
Containers and cargo can be subject to damages whilst en-route, due to heavy weather and boisterous seas. Providing containers “weather the storm”, damages can be minor to catastrophic. Simple mishandling by cranes, to unexpected issues like saltwater leaks all attribute to this damage.

Perishable foods can additionally be subject to temperature deviation or abuse but require more immediate attention due to shelf life and other degrading issues related to the post-harvest life of perishables.
